Governor Rounds denies that the public has an interest in tranparent government: Rounds: Open government only a media issue, February 16, 2008.

Rounds won't support Democrat's open records bill "I do not agree with a presumption that everything is open," Rounds said during a news conference with newspaper editors. “I get concerned with it comes to saying everything that happens in government is open." January 24, 2008
